Can Levitra Be Taken Along With Alcohol?

Clinical Experiment (Levitra+alcohol)

When 20 mg Levitra along with alcohol (0.5 g/kg body weight) was administered to healthy volunteers, after a period of four hours it was found that Levitra did not accelerate the hypotensive effects of alcohol. In the experiment, it also became evident that the plasma levels of Levitra and alcohol didn't change when taken at the same time.

Is It Better To Avoid Alcohol With Levitra?

It is definitely better to avoid alcohol intake while administering Levitra to treat your erectile dysfunction. Even though alcohol in moderate quantity is proved to be safe for the treatment of your impotency with Levitra, excessive intake of alcohol can worsen your condition. Moreover, heavy drinking is a prominent cause of erectile dysfunction and hence it is advised not to mix Levitra dosages with any kind of alcoholic beverage.

Levitra dosages are available in 2.5-mg, 5-mg, 10-mg, and 20-mg tablets and should be administered in accordance with the doctor's instructions. Levitra is generally taken along with a glass of water one hour before indulging in sexual intercourse.
